RIDE CHECK LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGE AGAINST MUSKOKA LAKES TOWNSHIP DRIVER

BRACEBRIDGE — A 20-year-old driver faces an impaired operation charge after being stopped by police.

They say that on February 21, at 10:30 p.m., officers with the Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E.) team conducting a RIDE check on Ecclestone Drive in Bracebridge became concerned about the condition of a driver.

Upon further investigation they arrested and charged Rowan Gerard, 20, of Muskoka Lakes Township, with Impaired Operation and Over 80.

Gerard is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on April 7, 2026.
