BE PREPARED TONIGHT! WE’RE IN FOR ANOTHER ONE … AN ICY RIDE STARTING WEDNESDAY
Mark Clairmont | MuskokaTODAY.com
MUSKOKA — Too good to be true.
It ain’t over till it’s over.
April Fool’s Day 2025 all over again.
Wiarton Willie (R.I.P.) didn’t predict this.
If you haven’t heard — buckle up tomorrow into Thursday.
Winter’s not over.
Power will be out somewhere — guaranteed — if you don’t have a generator gassed up.
Just when you thought a warm weekend was a portent of spring.
Weather forecasters across Ontario and Quebec are calling (not just predicting) for 24 hours of ice ahead Wednesday.
School buses will be cancelled.

Shelter in place if you don’t have to go out — and risk others on roads and workers who are already bracing for one more winter wollop.
Watch for other closures.
And check on friends and people who may need help.
Officials recommend these emergency preparations at a minimum:
- Get your 72-hour emergency kit ready
- Charge your devices and check your flashlights
- Make sure you’re signed up for Voyent Alert! to stay informed
- Store extra water and non-perishable food
