MILANO CORTINA — An Olympic gold medal for Parry Sound’s Megan Oldham today adds to her Italian haul.

The 24-year-old picked up the top prize in the women’s freestyle big air competition Monday after more than an hour of heavy snow and wind delayed her event.

Undeterred, Oldham was perfect her first two jumps to come out on top at the bottom of her runs.

It was Team Canada’s second Olympic gold — and added to her bronze in slopestyle last week.

And her win was Canada’s first medal in the sport since it was added to the Olympics in 2022.
