OVERNIGHT TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO DRUG CHARGES AGAINST TWO BRACEBRIDGE RESIDENTS AND WASHAGO MAN

BRACEBRIDGE — Police charged three local people overnight today with drug offences after a vehicle caught their attention.

They say that on Saturday February 21, at 3:15 a.m., officers conducting proactive patrols in the town of Bracebridge spotted the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

Upon further investigation, they arrested and charged the driver, 43-year-old Erin Krawetz, of Bracebridge, with:

  • Possession of a schedule I substance- Cocaine
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Driving while under suspension

Police also charged two passengers, 27-year-old Ashton Carnegie, of Bracebridge, and 54-year-old Robert Meeks, of Washago, each with Possession of schedule I Substance – Cocaine.

All three are to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge May 12, 2026.

Police on patrol in Bracebridge early this morning observed a vehicle that prompted them initiate a traffic that led to three people being charged with illegal cocaine possession.
