GRAVENHURST — When Bo Horvat scored his second Olympic goal today in Canada’s win over France, he had lots of family cheering him on in Italy.

Including his wife Holly and her dad Fraser Donaldson and mom Paisley, Gravenhurst’s former mayor, said town councillor Sandy Cairns on the weekend.

They are overseas with his family and have been following the New York Islander in his team’s quest for gold.

No. 14 beat the French goalie firing a beautiful shot behind him to make it 8-2 with 14:46 to go in the 10-2 game.

Canada’s third win of the tournament.

Horvat is a London, Ont., native.

He also previously played for Canada in the 2025 and 2018 IIHF World Championships and 2014 IIHF World Junior Championships.
