MAN FOUND HIDING IN SNOWBANK AFTER ACCIDENT CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

HUNTSVILLE — Police responding to a report of a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 11, southbound near Aspdin Road found the driver hiding in the snow a short distance away from the stuck vehicle.

Drew Reid, 31, of Marmoro, was located last Tuesday, Dec. 9, and charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Fail to Remain (scene of collision)

He was released to appear in February 2026 before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

And was also issued a 90-dat Administrative Driver’s License Suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Drew Reid, 31, of Marmoro, was located last Tuesday, Dec. 9, and faces three charges including leaving the scene of an accident.
