TRUNK OR TREAT LAST NIGHT AT BAPTIST CHURCH IS TRICK OR TREAT  FOR JAYS AND THEIR FANS TONIGHT

GRAVENHURST — One-stop shopping for trick or treaters at the Baptist Church here last night was “perfect timing” as usual.

The 20 tables for 500 kids is an annual tradition that always falls between 6-7:30 each Halloween — rain or shine. More the latter than the former.

And everyone was happy with that from the kids — who got to wend their way through the myriad of tables set up with complimentary goodies, a couple of games, lots of fun and a grab bag as they left — to the older volunteers including some who came dressed in their Jays blue.

Tonight it’s either trick or treat in the World Series Game 7 final.

And everyone can sit home after sorting through their free candy and enjoy the game.

From Super Dads to tiny tots the church was filled for 90 minutes with happy faces and fun times.
Blue was just one of the amazing colours on the night including of course pumpkin orange.
A game of “Go Fish” was a popular catch thanks to church volunteers including the associate pastor.
It was a beehive of activity with some 500 kids enjoying the blessings of 20 tables full of treats, with no tricks necessary.
Everywhere you looked it was a cornacopia of sweets and treats for one and all from 6-7:30 p.m., including fresh fruit.
This the way to arrive and be protected in case it rains, which it did only with a little dampness.
