DIRT BIKE ACCIDENT IN PORT SYDNEY OCT. 20, LEADS TO OBSTRUCTION CHARGES AGAINST NORTH MUSKOKA MEN

HUNTSVILLE A Port Sydney man and Huntsville man face obstruction charges following a police investigation of a serious motorcycle accident a month ago.

On October 20. 2025 at approximately 5:18 p.m., police were called to attend an accident on South Mary Lake Road in the area of Macks Road off Hwy. 11 North on the south entrance to Port Sydney.

The caller reported a 20 year old rider was thrown from his dirt bike sustaining serious injuries.

He was flown by an Ontario ORNGE helicopter to a Toronto trauma centre for treatment.

Police say that during an  investigation they determined two Port Sydney men interfered in the incident/investigation.

As a result, the pair were charged:

George Seward, 19, of Port Sydney, and William Vanderhorn, 20, of Huntsville, were charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer
