BRACEBRIDGE — Tyler Lasitz was quick off the mark again last night with Muskoka’s first goal as the Bears rebounded with a huge win for a weekend split in PJHL home play.
His fourth goal of the season 4:14 following the puck drop was one half of a pair the team scored in an impressive 2-1 win over Stayner, one of top teams in their North Carruthers Division.

As the teams settled in for the rest of the first period without scoring, the Siskins’ Ryan Russell tied it at 1:15 in to the second with his fourth goal of this season when he beat the Bears’ Kyle Downey — who faced 55 opposition shots.
But at 14:26 of the middle frame Muskoka’s Sebastian McLeod won the game with his first goal of the season — firing a shot that beat Aidan Jerry. One of 29 the visiting Siskin goalie faced.
The win was Muskoka’s third in 11 games.
In a game where the players stayed on the for the most part, Stayner had just one penalty in first for tripping and Bears kept themselves in check with only three minors for slashing, roughing and two minutes for interference to Lasitz.
Attendance was 296.
The Bears have another three-game scheduled next weekend starting in Friday and Saturday nights in Midland and Penetang before being home next Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. to division leader Alliston.
