CAVALCADE OF COLOUR PAST ITS PEAK — BUT RIDE AROUND MUSKOKA STILL WORTH A LONG DRIVE ALL THIS FALL

Mark Clairmont | MuskokaTODAY.com

MUSKOKA — Everywhere you look there’s beauty — in the trees and on the ground.

Maple leaves and all the colours that compose the natural palette of Muskoka’s rainbow remain on display — muted, yes, but filtered they’re still states of beauty.

Which is why Dr. Sophie Sun, of Toronto, brought her former Beijing medical school classmates to Gravenhurst to experience the breadth and breath of fresh air and beauty abounding.

They were late to Bethune House, but enjoyed the outdoors as busloads of Chinese did again on Thanksgiving during the National Historic Site’s busiest time of the year.

They are among thousands who make the annual pilgrimage to Muskoka and Algonquin Park each autumn.

It’s a site most locals take for example, but the wonder lingers even as Halloween looms.

Get out for a spin on the back roads of the best views — if the main streets don’t still grab you.

Not only will our Cavalcade of Colour continue to stun you, but it will take your breath away and make you realize how lucky you are to live in Muskoka.

Doctor, doctor … I’ve got a bad taste of loving Muskoka’s Cavalcade of Colour. That’s doctors Nan Liu, left, Ping An and Sophie Sun enjoying the good life in Gravenhurst. PHOTOS Mark Clairmont MuskokaTODAY.com
