GRAVENHURST — Police pulled over a driver on the east connector road between Gravenhurst and Bracebridge early Sunday, charging him with impaired operation.

On October 12, at 1 a.m., officers were responding to a concern from a member of the public about the condition of a driver on the Gravenhurst Parkway in Gravenhurst.

They located the vehicle and subsequently arrested and charged 38-year-old Jordan Smith, of Bracebridge, with Impaired Operation, Over 80, Having Care or Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available and Having Care or Control of a Vehicle with Liquor Readily Available.

Smith is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 21, 2025.

A public complaint about a driver led police to charge a Bracebridge man with impaired operation Sunday, who police found had cannabis and alcohol within reach.
