FATAL AUTO ACCIDENT SUNDAY ON WINDERMERE ROAD CLAIMS BRAMPTON MOTORCYLIST
TOWNSHIP OF MUSKOKA LAKES — One person is dead after a single-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon, northeast of Windermere in the Township of Muskoka Lakes.
Police say shortly after 1 p.m., August 31, emergency services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Windermere Road, just south of Dee Bank Road.
A 45-year-old male from Brampton, a lone motorcycle rider, was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation by the Bracebridge Detachment is ongoing, with assistance from members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team.
Windermere Road was closed for several hours for an on-scene investigation and has since re-opened.
