UPDATE: MAN ARRESTED IN ARMED ROBBERY AT CIRCLE K IN HUNTSVILLE WEEK LATER

HUNTSVILLE An armed man accused of demanding cash from an overnight worker at a gas bar here last week has been arrested a week later.

On Tuesday, August 19, at 1:55 a.m., OPP responded to a report of a robbery at the Circle K convenience store at Main and Centre streets.

The suspect entered the store and demanded the employee empty the register into a plastic bag while brandishing a hunting style knife from his pant pocket.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged Matthew Black, 25, of the Town of Huntsville with:

  • Armed Robbery
  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Disguise with Intent

Black was arrested Tuesday, August 26, and held for a hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
