TWO DRIVERS CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER INCIDENT AT BRACEBRIDGE GAS BAR AND DURING GRAVENHURST POLICE STOP
MUSKOKA — An overnight altercation with a customer at a convenience store Tuesday led the gas bar employee to flag down police who charged a Hamilton man with impaired driving.
On August 19, at 2 a.m. a officer was flagged down by an employee at a convenience store on Wellington Street and Hwy. 118, in Bracebridge, after having a conflict with a customer.
Officers located the vehicle and as a result charged 35-year-old Yash Pal with Operation while Impaired- Over 80 and Novice Driver-B.A.C. above zero.
Pal is to will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 23, 2025.
And on Wednesday night an Oshawa driver was charged in Gravenhurst with impaired operation.
At 9:30 p.m. August 20 police conducting proactive patrols on Muskoka Road 169 near Shady Lane in Gravenhurst noticed a vehicle travelling in what the claim was an unsafe manner.
The officer conducted a traffic stop arresting and charged 27-year-old Caleb Godfrey, of Oshawa, with Impaired Operation- Drug, Failure/Refusal to Comply with Demand, and Possession of Schedule I Substance (opioid) X 6.
Godfrey is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on October 14, 2025.
