‘SIMPLY PUT’ MUSKOKA MULTICULTURAL’S THONG TAI SOCIAL WAS ‘A BLAST’

GRAVENHURST — A new grassroots initiative dedicated to celebrating cultural diversity across the region held another enjoyable social last week.

The Muskoka Multicultural Association (MMA) hosted a lively after hours social Wednesday June 4 at Thong Thai Cuisine on Hwy. 11 NB.

According to Phyllis Winnington-Ingram, one of the organizers, it brought together a diverse group of community members, including first-generation Canadians, local residents, and MMA supporters, to enjoy authentic Thai food, build new friendships, and share stories in a warm, welcoming environment.

She said more than a dozen participants enjoyed the evening filled with laughter, cultural exchanges and connection.

“Simply put — we had a blast!”

A cooking – and of course eating – class last month at the YIG in Bracebridge was a big hit with a dozen or so other MMA supporters, said the happy chefs including a smiling Phyllis Winnington-Ingram centre.
