BRACEBRIDGE MAN CHARGED WITH STEALING CASH CONTAINER OFF FAST FOOD COUNTER

BRACEBRIDGE — A man police say grabbed a cash container attached to the counter of a fast food restaurant and fled has been caught, arrested and charged.

Monday’s June 16 theft, at 8:20 p.m., had the OPP responding a local “quick service restaurant” on Wellington Street in Bracebridge.

Police located the suspect at a residence on Milton Street and charged 28-year-old Taylor Forester, of Bracebridge, with:

  • Theft Under $5,000;
  • Mischief Under $5000;
  • And Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

Forester is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on August 12, 2025 to answer to his charges.

The theft is similar to one last Oct. 10 in Gravenhurst, where police are looking for surveillance video after a charity donation box was stolen from a downtown business.

Police allege Taylor Forester, 28, walked into the restaurant and stole the container of cash and fled the scene say police.
