LONG AWAITED LONG WEEKEND BLOSSOMS … BUT FIRST WEEK OF SUMMER WILL BE BIT COOLER, WETTER

Mark Clairmont | MuskokaTODAY.comMUSKOKA — Another long weekend … after a long, long winter.Don’t don those trunks just yet if you plan to be first into the lake for your annual spring ritual plunge as the weekend looks a little cool and damp with much the same the rest of the week.

While a few have dared already — this shouldn’t be the time to dip more than your toe into the water.

That will finally come from above tomorrow following a lengthy late spring dry spell, which gardeners will no doubt be welcoming.

However some flowers including tulips and daffodils have bloomed brightly.

And the cherry blossoms are in fine form.

Also, thankfully, rhubarb is fast coming out of the earth making its welcoming appearance, albeit with a little help form a hose.

Same with the green onions and mint.
