BUILDING AND DOCK SMASHED IN PORT SYDNEY BREAK-AND-ENTER MONDAY

PORT SYDNEY — Massive damage to a home here has police looking for the person or persons who went wild smashing a building, dock and pond.

Officers from the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a break and enter and are requesting the public’s assistance to identify suspect(s).

On Monday May 19, at 6 p.m., officers responded to a report of unknown person(s) entering a property in Port Sydney, on Greer Road, which runs parallel to Hwy. 11 and is near V.K. Greer Elementary School.

The caller said there was extensive damage to doors and windows.

The unknown person(s) proceeded to tear down a wall inside.

Prior to leaving the property, extensive damage was also done to a dock that was on the property’s pond.
