THERE’S HOPE IN THIS CHEST WITH HALF-PRICE CLOTHES SALE AT ST. JAMES TILL APRIL 10

GRAVENHURST — That time of year between winter and spring is a great time to stock up on out with the old in with the new clothing.

Thanks to its many dedicated volunteers, St. James Anglican Church has operated the Hope Chest to serve the community with very low cost, gently used women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, jewellery and other accessory items.

Located beneath the church, at the corner of John and Hotchkiss Streets, it’s open each Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., weather permitting.

The Hope Chest is currently offering all winter items at half price including clothing, shoes and boots until Thursday, April 10.

Spring and summer clothes will go on sale Thursday April 17.

All proceeds raised go back into the community.

Last year’s recipients were Breakfast Clubs at Gravenhurst Public School, Beech grove Public School, K.P. Manson Public School, and Gravenhurst High School; Andy’s House Hospice; Hospice Huntsville; Muskoka Parry Sound Sexual Assault Services; Simcoe Muskoka Family Connections (Youth Crisis line); Gravenhurst Food Bank; Salvation Army Back to School Program; Mental Health Group Home; Gravenhurst Boy Scouts; Gravenhurst Girl Guides; Muskoka Chaplaincy; Camp Winston Foundation; Christine’s Place and St. Ambrose Winter Pantry.

Gently used clothing can be dropped off on Thursdays between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
