HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ASSAULT LEADS TO INJURIES AND CHARGES IN HUNTSVILLE WEDNESDAY

HUNTSVILLE — An injured student required medical care after an assault involving another student at the high school here Wednesday morning.

Police say that on March 19, at 11:40 a.m., they were called to a report of an assault at Huntsville High School.

An investigation revealed the accused, a male student, had allegedly threatened and then assaulted another student.

The extent of injuries to the victim are yet to be fully determined, said police on Thursday.

The unidentified accused was arrested and charged with Assault Causing Bodily Harm and Uttering Threats – To cause bodily harm.

The accused was released to the care a parent and is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Ontario on May 8, 2025.

The name of the accused is not released as per the restrictions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act and to respect the privacy of the victim.
