THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN “Anonymous” survey comments on election: No. 4
PARRY SOUND-MUSKOKA — We’re asking: “Who will you vote for Feb. 27?”
And how did you like Monday’s night’s provincial election debate — if you watched it?
No. 4 — Feb. 22:
…
Across Muskoka Saturday people weren’t at all hesitant and in raw terms told MuskokaTODAY.com the following and shared some of their feelings about the election and big picture ….
…
“I haven’t decided yet. Me and my wife kinda vote together. We haven’t really discussed it as of yet. No issues yet. I’ve always liked Graydon. I’ve always known him for ever. So he’s basically part of my thinking. But the Green Party is always nice up here. I was PC last time.”
…
“Smith. I would probably vote Green, but it’d be a waste of a vote. And I like Ford what Ford’s doing. I think he’s the strongest and stands up to Trump. Just generally.”
…
“I haven’t voted yet. If I do vote it’ll be Blue. But if it fits in my schedule I’ll do it. If not I don’t give a s…. 51st state, I don’t care. The government’s crooked … they’re all crooks. They’re only looking after themselves.”
…
“PC. I like what Graydon does for Muskoka. He’s brought in a lot of money for infrastructure. Same with my wife.”
…
“Yes we’ve voted. Green. He seems like the nicest guy. I really can’t go out for Ford. And I don’t really know anything about the Liberals. We didn’t vote Green last time, I think it was Liberal. I don’t recall. I think it’s absolutely nuts. Why are we having an election now? He has a majority. The only thing that will be good out of this is if he doesn’t get a majority. Which it seems he’s going to. He’s got a lot of money behind him. That’s the problem.”
…
“I just voted tonight and I voted Green. I just like what they’re doing with the schools and education and health care. We need someone in there who’s going to fight for education and health care. I’ve always voted Green for the most part.”
…
“I voted for the Blue. My big concern is the fact that I really believe that Blue is gonna get in. And I really in Muskoka want a Blue party. And even though Green might be tempting, I think we’d lose our hospital and everything else. That’d be our big problem. I’m fine with Ford, I don’t have a problem with him. Graydon Smith has done so much for Muskoka. I can’t think of anyone else can do what he’s done. Keep what he’s already got in place. I think Trump will give him more respect than anyone else.”
…
“I voted the same way — yesterday. Graydon Smith is the man of the day. I’ve seen that guy in action. He works like a dog. I hope like hell he gets in. Ford is a fantastic guy. I believe he’s got the stone to stand up for us. I don’t think anyone else has the b…. to stand up to Trump. I think Trump’s a little scared of him.”
…
“I agree. I don’t want to lose our voice in (the provincial) parliament.”
