GRAVENHURST WOMAN ONE OF TWO 27-YEAR-OLD DRIVERS CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION THIS WEEKEND
HUNTSVILLE — A pair of impaired driving charges this weekend has two Muskoka 27-year-old Muskoka drivers facing charges here.On Saturday, February 22, at 1:07 a.m., police were conducting patrols on King William Street and stopped a driver.
As a result Tim Knight, 27, of Huntsville, was charged with: Operation while impaired – alcohol/drugs; and Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
Knight’s vehicle was impounded for seven days and he received a 90 Administrative Driver’s license Suspension.
He is to appear in court April 15, 2025, at Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, Ontario.
Yesterday, February 23, at 2:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to a vehicle that was struck in a snow bank on Main Street East.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the female driver who they believed the was intoxicated.
After a further investigation, Karissa Smith, 27, of Gravenhurst, was charged with: Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus); and Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs.
Smith’s vehicle, too, was impounded for seven days and she received a 90 Administrative Driver’s license Suspension.
She is to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on March 11, 2025.
