MACTIER WOMAN CHARGED AFTER RIDE STOP IN BRACEBRIDGE LAST NIGHT

BRACEBRIDGE — A RIDE check has resulted in a MacTier woman being charged with drug and proceeds of crime charges last night.

On Oct. 6, at 11:30 p.m., officers along with members of the Central Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team were conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Taylor Road near Depot Drive in Bracebridge, when they began an investigation into the driving of a person coming through the checkpoint.

As a result of their investigation, police charged 22-year-old Breeze Jantzi, of MacTier, with Possession of a Schedule I Substance (cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2) and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000 CC 354(1)(a).

Jantzi is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Nov. 12, 2024.
