GRAVENHURST — Police are investigating a historical sex assault here two decades ago.

This comes a year after Mark Sethi was charged last August with another incident involving a rider in his one of his Gravenhurst Taxi cabs.

Police and the Muskoka Crime Unit have charged the Gravenhurst resident with another alleged sexual assault.

They said last month OPP in south Muskoka and the Muskoka Crime Unit began investigating a historical sexual assault alleged to have occurred between 2001 and 2004 at a former licensed establishment in Gravenhurst.

Sethi previously owned and ran the Lakers bar and restaurant, which is now closed.

As a result of the investigation, Sethi, 58, was arrested and charged with two counts: Sexual Assault CC 271 X 2.

Sethi is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, in Bracebridge, Sept. 10, 2024, to answer to the charges.
