BY LAND, LAKE OR AIR … MUSKOKA LAKE LOOKS STUNNING IN ‘THE LENSMAN’S’ DRONE PHOTOS

GRAVENHURST — Lights, cameras, action … portraits or still life.

That’s the Muskoka Photography Club.

They meet the third Wednesday of every month. Paid members gather at Raymond Hall or via Zoom to share their photography, discuss techniques, and learn from each other. Meetings may include guest speakers, workshops, or presentations on various aspects of photography.

Their next meeting is Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. or on Zoom.  The hall opens at 6 p.m. for pot luck and networking.

Larry “The Lens Man” Carroll is a member who’s always photographing, whether it’s the Bracebridge Rotary Musical cast and play — or in the boudoir.

Or experimenting here with his drone camera down at the Muskoka Wharf near his home.

He’s got these great shots of the almost completed first phase of the Bay & Beyond water and sewer road construction this summer.

They offer a perfect panoramic glimpse of Lake Muskoka’s shoreline in Gravenhurst.

Looking west you can see the sports field, left, with the red roof of the Dock on the Bay at Muskoka Wharf with the Greavette condos at the top far right.
Facing east it’s Bay Street where phase 2 of the construction is in to its second week with the Cockburn Square standing out shining brightly on the left. Wait till these leaves turn colour in a month’s time.
Up Lake Muskoka Greavette Island sits in the midst of a sea of blue with the Segwun and Wenonah II nestled in port right of the docks — The Alexander Residence Muskoka leaning out right over the The Gravenhurst Bay.
