GRAVENHURST — Don Ho wasn’t there, but he was present in sound and spirit Friday during a Hawaiian Luhau at Gravenhurst Manor.

Residents dressed in bright shirts shouting with hues and shades of red, green, blue and orange.

Women with grass skirts. Everyone draped in leis wrapped round necks.

It was Waikiki at their Muskoka Road home, a festive cavalcade of colour as they sipped pineapple juice and listened Hawaiian music and nibbled on pizza.

A lovely, lively celebration of summer.

Another fun day at their Muskoka Road.

Gloria Girard helps Gail Koski down the steps out front for a team photo at Friday’s Luhau at Gravenhurst Manor.
Outside in the sunshine it felt like Hawaii for residents who dressed up in their colourful finery.
Inside, friends Paul Stewart and Paul Pauch share a handshake while wearing their leis.
Orvil Tremblay and Ellon Lyon were among dozens who enjoyed pineapple juice and pizza.
