SCHOOL LOCKDODWN FOLLOWS REPORT OF MALES FIGHTING, ONE WITH WEAPON

HUNTSVILLE — A lockdown at an elementary school here yesterday has led to multiple charges after police received a weapon call.

OPP responded to a report of males fighting on nearby Susan Street Thursday, May 25 at 12:07 p.m.

The initial report was that one of the males had a weapon.

Police responded the area and arrested Richard Ryan, 42, of Huntsville.

He was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a schedule 1 substance
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Opioid
  • Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of a Weapon Contrary to Order
  • Causing a Disturbance

Ryan was held for a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.
