ALARMING PHONE CALL FRIDAY AT 10 A.M. ONLY A DISTRICT TEST
MUSKOKA — If your phone blares at you this Friday morning don’t be alarmed.
It’s only a test.
The Muskoka Emergency Response Committee (MERC) has scheduled a test of the #AlertMuskoka system, powered by Voyent Alert!, at 10 a.m.
This test is taking place during Emergency Preparedness Week to support the community’s readiness for actual emergencies.
Residents are urged to participate by activating their Voyent Alert! App and updating their settings.

Those not yet registered can sign up to receive alerts via email, text message, or voice call, or by downloading the Voyent Alert! app. This service provides timely updates during emergencies, tailored specifically to your chosen locations.

Voyent Alert! is a vital communication tool during emergencies such as natural disasters, severe weather, or other local crises. The #AlertMuskoka system offers targeted alerts that include location-specific instructions and suggested evacuation routes.
This system is designed to send alerts and information if natural disasters like floods and wildfires, severe weather events, and other local emergencies that could impact safety or disrupt daily life.
