QUEEN’S PARK — A petition “to disregard” MAHC directors has officially been presented to the province.
It only took half a minute yesterday for MPP Ric Bresee, member for Hasting-Lennox and Addington, to stand in the legislature yesterday during petitions period to present the signatures of more than 4,000 people in Muskoka calling for the Ministry of Health to “disgard” the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare board of directors over their handling of its twin hospitals redevelopment.
In other words fired, according former NDP MPP Dan Waters and those who have placed their names on dozens of petitions circulated the past month across Muskoka.
Parry Sound-Muskoka MPP Graydon Smith is apparently not allowed to present petitions as he is a member of cabinet. He is the minister of natural resources.
Fellow Conservative Bresee said he was “pleased” to present the petition, as he handed a blue recyclable bag bearing Smith’s official name on it to a legislative page.
