TWO MORE WOMEN CHARGED IN JUNE DRUG INVESTIGATION IN GRAVENURST
GRAVENHURST — Continuing drug investigations in June have led to two more drug trafficking charges here yesterday.
Police said today that the Muskoka Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) has been conducted investigations in to drug trafficking in Gravenhurst this month.
As a result, on Wednesday, June 28, with the assistance of local OPP officers, investigators arrested two women on Veteran’s Way, seizing a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine along with drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Police have charged Whitney Wilson, 39, of Gravenhurst with:
- Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking, CDSA 5(2)
- Fail to Comply with Probation, CC 733.1(a)
- And possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, CC 354(1)(a)
Officers also charged Chelsea Shelton, 28, also Gravenhurst, with Fail to Comply with Release Order, CC 145(5)(a).
Wilson and Shelton were held in custody for a bail hearing Thursday, June 29, 2023, in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, Ontario.
