PREMIER FORD TEES OFF FOR HUNTSVILLE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION ON BIGWIN ISLAND

LAKE OF BAYS Premier Doug Ford spoke about the $1 billion earmarked for Muskoka’s two new hospitals and the $800K for MRI service yesterday, while teeing off at the Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s annual golf tournament on Bigwin Island Golf Club.

He also emphasized MPP Graydon Smith’s role in securing the investments.

The premier was one of the many golfers at the fundraiser that over the past seven years $1.2Million for the foundation along with awareness and broad community support for local healthcare.

This year’s event is was in support of the first MRI for Muskoka & Focus on Imaging – a $10Million capital campaign to update diagnostic technology, in The Sprott Foundation Diagnostic Imaging Department.

Foursome tickets for the 11 a.m. shotgun start were $6,000 and included breakfast, golf live jazz, lunch, a cocktail reception, and meal created by Bigwin executive chef Domenic Grimaldi.

The evening was hosted by sports broadcaster Brian Williams and featured entertainment by The Tenors.

Final tallies were still being added up for the amount raised.
