MAN PULLED FROM WRECK CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING SUNDAY IN MUSKOKA LAKES
MUSKOKA LAKES — Firefighters pulled a driver from his vehicle late yesterday afternoon after it flipped on Falkenburg Road.
Taken to hospital with minor injuries, police later arrested and charged the lone occupant with impaired driving.
Police say OPP, paramedics and firefighters were called to the single-vehicle collision just before 5:30 p.m., after the vehicle rolled over and the driver had to be removed by Muskoka Lakes firefighters.
Hughie Smith, 58, of Bracebridge, was charged with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).
Smith is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge July 4, 2023.
