DRIVER HITS POLE IN GRAVENHURST, FACES TWO IMPAIRED DRIVING CHARGES

GRAVENHURST — A driver who hit a utility pole last Thursday afternoon, on David Street in Gravenhurst, faces a couple of impaired driving charges.

Police say a member of the public called 911, June 15 at 5:30 p.m., out of concern for a driver who had collided with the utility pole near Bethune Drive.

Investigating officers charged 60-year-old Richard Gold, of Gravenhurst, with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

Gold is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge, July 18, 2023.

Police say a member of the public called emergency services concerned about a driver whose vehicle hit a utility pole last June 15 on David Street off Bethune Drive
