THREE YOUTH 12-13 CHARGED WITH CEMETERY VANDALISM IN BRACEBRIDGE FRIDAY
Three youth aged 12-13 face charges after what police call “heartbreaking” damage at St. Thomas Cemetery Friday.
The OPP say they are grateful for the tips and information they received that’s led to the identities of the people allegedly responsible for the damage.
They say in a release Monday afternoon they charged the three with Mischief Over $5000.
Their identities are protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
On Friday April 21, officers were called by a groundskeeper who reported this “heartbreaking damage” to 23 doors on the columbarium that occurred sometime between April 15 – 20, 2023.
Police asked for the public’s assistance regarding their investigation at the cemetery on Manitoba Street in Bracebridge.
