THIEF WHO WAS SPOTTED STEALING, FLEES EMPLOYEE, POLICE SATURDAY IN HUNTSVILLE

HUNTSVILLE Police are looking for a man who broke into a business Saturday and was caught stealing items before fleeing an employee.

The OPP say that on April 22, at 5:50 a.m., police responded to the report of a break and enter in the downtown.

A security alarm alerted an employee who confronted a male leaving the business carrying stolen items. The male proceeded to drop the items and fled on foot from the business southbound on Brunel Road from Main Street.

The man was unsuccessful in removing any items, but did cause damage to the business.

The male is described as white, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, with a bulky build. He was wearing black pants, black shoes, a black sweater or coat with hood up and gloves.

Officers from Huntsville detachment with the assistance of OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and the Canine Unit searched the area and were unable to locate the male.

They ask that anyone with information regarding this break and enter or possible surveillance video is asked to contact Huntsville OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477).

The male thief, about 5-foot-9, and was dressed all in black and was wearing gloves.
