GRAVENHURST MAN FACES SECOND DRUG CHARGES IN 3 MONTHS ALONG TROUBLED FIRST STREET

GRAVENHURST — Police here arrested a local man again last night charging him with drug possession and trafficking for the second time in three months.

On Oct. 2, at 9 p.m., police say officers were conducting a general patrol on First Street when they stopped 46-year-old Kyle Buker, of Gravenhurst.

After an investigation, Buker was charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking CDSA 5(2)
  • Possession of a weapon for Dangerous purpose

Buker is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Nov. 15, 2022.

The charges are the latest along First Street, which has seen a large number of criminal charges particularly at the south end where road paving is currently underway.

On June 11 Buker was also charged in June with Possession of Schedule I (Cocaine) CDSA 4(1), Possession of a Schedule I (opioid) CDSA 4(1), Possession of a Schedule III Substance CDSA 4(1) and Failure to Comply with Probation Order CC 733.1(1).

He was charged along with two other Gravenhurst men.
