4 CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED OPERATION OCT. 21-26 IN SOUTH MUSKOKA
MUSKOKA — Impaired drivers kept police busy four of the last days.
On Oct. 21, at 7:23 a.m., police were dispatched to attend the parking lot of a commercial building on Winhara Road, Gravenhurst, where employees noticed a Jeep parked in their lot with a person passed out at the steering wheel.
Officers attended and after an investigation arrested and charged 40-year-old Erin Krawetz, of Gravenhurst, with Impaired Operation by Drug CC 320.14(1)(a), Possession of a Schedule I substance CDSA 4(1) and Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purposes of Trafficking CDSA 5(2).
Krawetz is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Nov. 8, 2022.
A day later, Oct. 22, just before 8 p.m. police responded to a report that a vehicle had gone off the road into a ditch on Bonnie Lake Road in Bracebridge.
Police responded and arrested and charged 31-year-old Amy Fisher, of Huntsville. She was charged with driving Impaired, Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).
Fisher is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Dec. 13, 2022.
On Oct. 24 members of the public called police to report that a vehicle speeding on Hwy. 11 north in Bracebridge that went off the road into the ditch.
Officers responded and upon further investigation arrested and charged 18-year-old Nolan Mee, of Gravenhurst, with Operation while Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).
Mee is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Dec. 6, 2022.
Police say that in Ontario all drivers under the age of 22 must have zero alcohol in their blood to drive.
On Oct. 26 OPP were called to Beaver Ridge Road in Gravenhurst to assist with a person who was having vehicle trouble.
Officers suspected alcohol was involved and after an investigation arrested and charged 48-year-old Jennifer Clancy, of London, ON with Operation while Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).
Clancy is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Dec. 6, 2022.
In cases where a person is charged with impaired Driving, their driver’s licence is suspended immediately for 90 days and their vehicle is impounded for seven days.
