DRIVING COMPLAINT THURSDAY AFTERNOON IN GRAVENHURST LEADS TO IMPAIRED CHARGES

GRAVENHURST — A public complaint has led to impaired driving charges against a Port Perry man this afternoon.

Police say that on Thursday Aug. 11, just before 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a complaint from a member of the public about the driving behaviour of a vehicle on Doe Lake Road in Gravenhurst.

When the OPP arrived and conducted an investigation they arrested and charged 29-year-old Jesse Richards with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b).

Richard’s drivers licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded.

Richards is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Sept. 13, 2022.

The driver was stopped on the Doe Lake Road in Gravenhurst after a member of the public called police about his driving behaviour.
