DRIVER CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED AFTER CRASH AT DOMINION, MANITOBA STREETS OVERNIGHT

BRACEBRIDGE — A middle of the night accident downtown here today has led to impaired driving charges against a Bracebridge man.

Police say that early this morning, Aug. 11, at 3:45 a.m., officers and paramedics were called Dominion Street near Manitoba Street after receiving reports that a pick-up truck had collided with a car parked on the road and a guard rail before coming to a rest.

The driver was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

After an investigation, police subsequently arrested and charged 46 year-old Matthew Steele, of Bracebridge, with Operation While Impaired CC 320.14(1)(a).

Steele is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on September 13, 2022.

An overnight accident today landed a Bracebridge man, 46, in hospital charged with impaired driving.
