MISSING MAN FOUND DEAD FRIDAY IN KAHSHE RIVER; POLICE SAY NO FOUL PLAY
GRAVENHURST — The body of a man last seen Wednesday afternoon was recovered by police about noon today in the Kahshe River.
Provincial police located him deceased in Gravenhurst, after he was reported missing earlier Friday.
They say that on July 1, just after 10 a.m., the 67-year-old was reported missing in Gravenhurst.
He was believed to have last been seen on Wednesday afternoon.
The OPP began their search with help from their Central Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and their canine unit.
The unidentified man was found in the Kahshe River with the OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) assisting.
Police say the death is believed to be non-suspicious and no foul play is suspected. A post mortem is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
The identity will be withheld pending family notification.
