MUSKOKA — A second person is dead today after also hitting a tree.

Police are on scene Monday investigating a single-vehicle accident east of Bracebridge late this morning.

The OPP say this afternoon that they were called to the collision on Fraserburg Road in Bracebridge, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m.

The vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree.

Driver Ronald McCuaig, of Woodville, was pronounced dead shortly after the collision.

The OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (T.I.M.E) team attended to assist with the ongoing investigation.

The accident follows the death Saturday of an Utterson snowmobiler who died on an OFSC trail Saturday morning about 11 a.m.

Almaguin Highlands OPP say 57-year-old George Guppy, a tech teacher at Gravenhurst High School, was thrown from the sled and  struck a tree.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

Officers were called to the crash scene, along with the Parry Sound Emergency paramedics and the Burks Falls Fire Department.

The investigation is ongoing.
