WOMAN VISITOR ATTACKED BY DOG IN GRAVENHURST ON MONDAY AFTERNOON

GRAVENHURST — A woman attacked by a dog yesterday was taken to hospital for treatment of her injuries.

Provincial police were called to a home on Bethune Drive South Monday at 4 p.m.

They say the woman was visiting when she was “attacked by a dog.”

And that she was in the company of children outside when the large dog came from a residence and took hold of her arm leaving a significant tear.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for her injuries.

Police are working with Gravenhurst’s bylaw department and the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit in their investigation into the incident.

Police, with the help of public health and the Gravenhurt bylaw department are investigating a “dog attack” at a residence on Bethune Drive Monday.
