‘PURSUING’ DRIVER ARRESTED IN OPP PARKING LOT CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED
BRACEBRIDGE — Police arrested a driver in the parking lot of the OPP detachment here Sunday who was said to be chasing another vehicle.
Officers responded to a 911call from a motorist Oct. 31 at 11 a.m.
The caller said they were being pursued by a person in another vehicle on Taylor Road in Bracebridge.
And that the driver made contact with the caller’s vehicle.
The caller drove directly to the OPP detachment on Cedar Lane with police saying the second vehicle continued to “follow aggressively.”
Officers intercepted the second vehicle in the parking lot and arrested and charged the driver, 30-year-old Trevor Eisan, of Bracebridge.
Eisan was charged with Impaired Operation CC 320.14(1)(a), Over 80 CC 320.14(1)(b) and Dangerous Operation of a vehicle CC 320.13(1).
He is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge Dec. 21, 2021.
Eisan’s driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded.
