‘YEAH, RIGHT, DAD! I WON $100,000,’ SAYS KILWORTHY LOTTO WINNER

KILWORTHY — “Yes!”

Adam Samms said “yes” to Encore and “Yes!” when his dad told him he’d won $100,000 in a Lotto Max draw.

The 41-year-old recycling industry worker, who matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order, says it was his dad who discovered his June 1 win.

“I was preoccupied with something else at the time and thought, ‘Yeah, right!’

“Until I got home later and checked the ticket myself,” he said in an OLG release today. “My mom cried tears of joy.”

Samms plans to pay some bills, do some repairs on his truck and take care of his parents with his winnings.

He says Lotto Max is now his favourite lottery game.

OLG is currently booking in-person prize claim appointments at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto only for those claims that require a face-to-face interview. Customers with prizes over $50,000 are asked to call 1-800-387-0098 to discuss available prize claim options. Prize claims less than that should continue to be submitted by mail.

The winning ticket was purchased at the YIG in Gravenhurst.

Adam Samms, 41, of Kilworthy, invested a bonus buck in his Lotto Max ticket purchase and walked away with $100,000 in the June 1 OLG draw.
