BUSINESS MILESTONES CELEBRATED TONIGHT IN BALA AT SPECIAL CHAMBER EVENT
BALA — Missed milestones are being marked here tonight at Trinity All Saints Church.
Lost in the past 20 months have not only been celebrations of life, but opportunities to mark significant other timely events.
The church, itself, is 100 years old.
And as part of the special Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce after hours event, 100 people are expected to gather on its grounds to not only celebrate its role in the community but also 30 other groups and organizations that have been operation between 20 and 150 years.
Like Windermere House, which dates back to 1875 and Brooklands Farm, which grew up five years later.
The chamber itself began business liaisons 60 years ago and Muskoka Brewery, relatively new, but 25 years old.
“It’s going to be quite the event,” says the chamber’s Norah Fountain.
She says he ‘special anniversary celebration’ is our first in person business after hours event since the night before lockdown in March 2020.”
