EXPLORERS’ EDGE OFFERS $50 IN FREE VOUCHERS TO SHOP LOCAL

CENTRAL ONTARIO — Tourism is taking off again.

With Stage 2 of Ontario’s re-opening plan underway this week Explorers’ Edge is again offering permanent and seasonal residents in the region a “Cottage Country Spirit Package” to explore your own backyard — and to shop local.

“There’s no catch,” says James Murphy, executive director of Explorers’ Edge (RTO12), in a release today.

Register to receive the Cottage Country Spirit Local Travel Package and get $50 to spend across the region this summer.

“This summer, get out and explore the fabulous region we call home and support our amazing local tourism businesses. Treat yourself — on us,” says Murphy.

Here’s how it works:

• Starting July 2 permanent and seasonal residents (only) in the Explorers’ Edge region of Ontario can register to receive a voucher package containing 5 x $10 vouchers to spend at participating shops, restaurants and accommodations across the region between July 19 and Sept. 30.
• (Note: only one package will be issued per household – not per registrant.)
• Vouchers will be mailed directly to registrants.
• Spend them all at one participating business, or divide them up to use at multiple locations — the choice is yours.
