GRAVENHURST — Wasabi won’t be there.
So the best in show is wide open in the Gravenhurst Chamber of Commerce Virtual Car show voting now underway.
The shaggy little Pekingese — named top dog Sunday in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show — has enough trophies.
But there are almost 200 classic and nouveaux cars and trucks to kick the tires online.
“We’ve received registrations for so many great and unique vehicles,” says the chamber’s marketing lead Leila Nasr-Sharifi.
The show is sponsored by Canadian Tire Gravenhurst and car owners compete for the Wayne’s Tire Top 10 People’s Choice Awards for a wide range of prizes in several categories.
The show remains open for voting until June 23.

All cars registered have a chance to win $500 worth of tires from Wayne’s Tire in Gravenhurst.
Every year donations collected by auto entrants help fund a bursary for a Gravenhurst High School Student going into the automotive field, and this year is no exception.
Winners will be announced Saturday, June 27 via gravenhurstcarshow.com and on the Gravenhurst Car Show Facebook and Instagram
page.
The show will remain up online for one month so people can view the winners.
The chamber expects the Gravenhurst Car Show to be back at beautiful Gull Lake Park in 2021 on Saturday, June 19.

I went online and viewed all the entrants in the Chamber of Commerce Car show two nights ago. Wow! Impressive. You get to choose 10 best cars when voting, and I had trouble narrowing it down to 10! But picked the 1973 TR-6 among them — for old times sake. Great show! Photos were excellent and the enlargements gave all the details. I DO love cars from the past. Present day cars are so boring.
