43 NEW COVID CASES REPORTED SUNDAY IN SIMCOE-MUSKOKA

SIMCOE-MUSKOKA — COVID case counts are back up locally and provincially Sunday the day before students return to indoor classes and Ontario moves to re-open more businesses.

Simcoe-Muskoka reported 43 cases — an increase of 8 over Saturday — bringing the regional total to 5,770.

Public Health Ontario did not differentiate numbers between Muskoka and Simcoe.

Ontario’s numbers also went back up to 1,489 with 22 deaths. Yesterday there were 1,388 cases and 45 deaths.

Quebec, meanwhile, saw a drop to 1,081 and 32 deaths from 1,204 and 27 deaths the day before.
