‘VIOLENT, DANGEROUS’ TORONTO STABBBING SUSPECT ARRESTED IN HUNTSVILLE

HUNTSVILLE — A man arrested here Friday on drug charges was a “violent and dangerous” suspect wanted in a September stabbing in Toronto.
City police were still on the lookout for Cyrus Alaei, 22, late last week when on Friday Dec. 4 OPP on patrol in Huntsville say they noticed a suspicious male behind businesses on Main Street West.
Officers approached him and later discovered the Toronto Police Service (TPS) had a warrant out for his arrest in a life-threatening Sept. 13 stabbing.
OPP in Huntsville charged Alaei, of Toronto, with the following charges before turning him over to city police:
– Possession of a schedule I substance- cocaine, contrary to section 4(1) of the
Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
– Possession of a schedule I substance- L.S.D, contrary to section 4(1) of the
Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
– Possession of a schedule I substance- Dilaudid, contrary to section 4(1) of the
Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
– Possession of a schedule IV substance-Clonazepam , contrary to section 4(1) of the
Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.
Before being released to TPS, Alaei was issued an Appearance Notice to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Huntsville, Jan. 6, 2020.
Media reports in Toronto three months ago say a victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries shortly after midnight Sunday, Sept 13.
Police say two men were arguing in downtown neighbourhood of Richmond and Brant street when Alaei allegedly stabbed the other man multiple times then fled.
Alaei was described as 5-foot-2 with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black toque and a black hoodie.
He was wanted for aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and failure to comply with a release from custody order.
He was last seen wearing a black toque and a black hooded sweatshirt.
Toronto police at the time called Alaei “violent and dangerous.”
