POLICE CALL IN CRIME UNITS IN SEARCH FOR MISSING PERSON

GRAVENHURST — Police have escalated their investigation in to the whereabouts and circumstances around a young man who went missing last weekend after his family called them for help out of concern for his health and safety.

The OPP say this afternoon, Thursday Dec. 17, that they have now called in the Muskoka Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Services (FIS) — under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch — as they look further in to the disappearance of Justin Evans, of Gravenhurst.

Evans, 22, has not been heard from since Saturday, Dec. 12.

He is described as 6-foot-3, with a slim build, brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing a grey winter coat, blue jeans and camouflage boots.
